Hello, I'm Flash, a young and energetic pup with a heart full of hope and a mind full of potential! I'm a friendly and social guy who just adores the company of people. I am about a year old and 41 pounds of love.

With my keen intelligence, I'm always up for a good mental challenge, and I find great joy in tasks and activities that keep my mind active and engaged. In my downtime, I love nothing more than forming deep connections with my favorite people. I'm an extremely affectionate boy who thrives on leadership and direction. I'm also sensitive and responsive to my surroundings, taking cues from those around me to guide my actions.

An ideal day for me includes a good hike with a purpose, perhaps with a backpack to carry some gear? I love feeling useful and part of a team! I'm always eager to please and ready for adventures, big or small. I'm looking for a special family who understands the unique traits and needs of my herding breed.

I just love other dogs, so if there is another friendly pup in the home, I would love to meet them. My best friend here at the rescue is Alistair, we have so much fun together. I have a very balanced play style and can let other dogs take the lead, I seem to be very tolerant of other dog's shenanigans!

A home with active individuals who can provide me with the mental stimulation and physical exercise I thrive on would be perfect and where any children are at least 13 years old. In return, I promise to be your loyal companion, offering endless love and fun adventures. With my boundless enthusiasm and devotion, I know I can be the paw-some addition to your life that you've been waiting for.

**Flash has been chosen for an exciting adventure, The Lodge for Pampered Pets in Metamora works with a few rescues in the area, with K9 Stray Rescue being one of them. They have a Stay and Play Program, where a rescue dog gets to go there for the day for a few weeks and play all day with the other dogs attending doggy daycare, and they even sometimes have sleepovers. The pups are pampered by the employees with enrichment, spa days and love. Flash passed his temperament test with flying colors and loves going there, he has been having so much fun. He absolutely loves other dogs and has a blast playing all day with them. Flash would make a great second dog for a family with another silly pup.**
