Honey is cuteness overload! She is estimated to be abut 8 months old and weighs 26 pounds right now.
Meet Honey, the sweetest little puppy with a heart full of love and a spirit ready to bloom with the right guidance! She is such a lover and only wants to please you, ugh, you just want to gobble her up! Honey does have more of timid personality and the sweet muffin flinches with fast movements, but she stays right with you. She is seeking reassurance, comfort and guidance from your presence. It's important to establish trust with Honey and provide her with a predictable environment and structure. With patience, leadership, and plenty of love, you'll help Honey build the confidence she needs to feel safe and secure. She is truly such an affectionate, sweet girl and only wants to be close to you, what a wonderful best friend she is going to make someone. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old and due to her shy personality, the parents will need to set limits with them until Honey gets her bearings and trusts she is safe. Honey would love it if you came to meet her, she can't wait to grow up with her forever family who will cherish her.
If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Honey would love to meet them. She has a full body wag when she sees other dogs but then likes to hide behind you. She is open to the other dog's approach but there is no interaction. She really needs positive dog to dog interactions to help build her confidence.
If you are interested in Honey and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
