Jolene

Jolene may have the cutest little face ever with those adorable white whiskers under her chin. She is estimated to be about 8 years old and weighs 34 pounds, the perfect medium/smaller size friend.

Meet Jolene, this sweet, gentle girl is so loving, and her big brown soulful eyes really get you. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but underneath that timid exterior is an affectionate, playful pup who just wants to feel safe and loved. Jolene seems to only want to please you. We are truly sad that someone cropped her ears so short, but she is safe with us now and even after going through that, she couldn't be more of an angel.

Jolene absolutely adores belly rubs, leans in for affection, and looks to her people for comfort and reassurance. And don't let her shy side fool you! Once she starts feeling comfortable, her playful personality begins to shine. During her evaluation, she surprised us with an adorable play bow and was just about ready to break into the zoomies! She even seems to understand crate time, happily going right in when asked!

This precious girl doesn't need someone to rush her. She just needs someone willing to give her the patience, confidence building, leadership, and love she deserves. In return, you'll have a devoted companion who will surely appreciate every belly rub and every moment by your side. She will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old with her shy, sensitive nature. She would love it if you came to meet her, she has so much love to give a family.

When introduced to another dog, she was initially hesitant but did warm up enough for a brief, friendly greeting. She was still recovering from her spay surgery and wasn't feeling her best, so we're looking forward to learning more about her doggy friendships once she's feeling better.
