Lucy's gorgeous amber eyes are captivating! She is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs about 30 pounds, but she is sure to get bigger.

Meet Lucy, a beautiful baby girl who can't wait to find a family to love her. She is a shy and sweet little soul who is learning to navigate the world with a gentle spirit. She might be a bit unsure at first, but with a patient and loving family, she will flourish. Lucy is working on building her confidence and understanding that the world is a safe and wonderful place. Quick movements tend to startle her, so a calm and predictable environment is important for her to feel secure.

When she trusts you, Lucy is such a gentle and affectionate cuddler. She just wants to be close and soak up all the love you have to give. Lucy really needs structure and a leader to look to for comfort and guidance. Her adopter will need to have the time and patience to build trust and provide the positive socialization a young, insecure puppy needs to mature into a confident, well-adjusted dog.

Lucy is also making progress with other dogs. Her initial response can be to tense up when meeting a new dog, but with time and the right match, she is beginning to open up and become more comfortable. She recently had a great play session with Sebastian, a male puppy close to her age, and was happy to join in the fun. She is also open and playful with her sibling, Anna. Lucy will benefit from appropriate introductions to any potential canine siblings so she can feel safe and comfortable.

With her shy nature, Lucy will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old, although she does seem drawn to kids. This sweet girl has so much potential and is looking for a family that will give her the patience, consistency and love she needs to continue blossoming.
