Marcy

Hello, my name is Marcy, I've been told I am a brindle beauty by all the nice volunteers here at the rescue. I am about a year old and weigh 57 pounds.

I am an affectionate soul who craves love and closeness. I enjoy nothing more than leaning in softly for cuddles and being right next to those I care about. I also know a solid sit and take treats oh-so-gently, but my favorite trick is the full-body wag I do when I'm happy and excited (which is most of the time!).

I am always up for a friendly stroll, as I am good on a leash. Well, unless of course, there's something exciting that catches my eye, maybe a person that would want to pet me—then I may need a gentle reminder to stay focused. Since I am so outgoing, I can't imagine there would be someone who doesn't want to meet me!

If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, I would love to meet them. I seem to do better with male dogs right now, I have a loose approach with an "all in" play style, with some play bows. I came to the rescue with my 3 puppies, and my hormones are still there, which seem to be not working out right now with other female dogs.

My ideal forever family will understand my need for structure and guidance, I must admit, I may need a basic obedience refresher. I would thrive with a leader to show me the way. With my eagerness to please and my food-motivated spirit, I am ready to excel in training and become the best girl you ever did meet. I would love it if you wanted to meet me, I can't wait to have a family that loves me. I will need a home where any children are at least 8 years old.
